LNSD wide-field imagers are being built for time domain astronomy.
Likely the 8-m telescope of the Rubin Observatory is the end of the
monolithic telescope line (at least for ground-based observatories).
Large telescopes equipped with large cameras, provide deepest images
of the sky (for example, LSST and Roman+Euclid in space).

Below we list LNSD TDA facilities (known to SRK)
- ATLAS
(Asteroid Terrestrial-impact Last Alert System) consists of
telescopes, each 50-cm (f/2.0) with FoV of 30 sq deg, located in
Maui, Hawaii, Chile, South Africa, Spain).

- Tsinghua University-Ma
Huateng Telescope (TMTS) is 4x40-cm (f3.75) array (total FOV
of 18 sq deg). Xinglong, China.
- Gravitational Wave
Optical Transient Observer (GOTO) has 16x40-cm (f/2.4)
telescopes (total FOV of 88 sq deg). La Palma & Siding Spring.
- DDOTI (the deca-degree
optical transient imager has 6x28-cm (f/2.2) with a total field
of view of 72 sq deg. San Pedro di Martir, Mexico
- BlackGem
consists of 3x65-cm (f/5.5) with a total FoV of 8.2 sq deg. La
Silla, Chile

Large Array Survey Telescope (LAST) consists of 48x28-cm (f/2.2)
telescopes with a FOV of 355 sq deg. Steward Observatory, Arizona.
- R2Pub
2x60-cm (f/1.7) with each telescope FoV of 18 sq deg, Daocheng,
Yunnan Observatory, China
- Argus is an array of
1212x28-cm (f/2.2) with a total FOV of 8,000 sq deg. The facility
has eight units of which the first one is expected to
come on line in 2027.

Note: all telescopes above, other than BlackGem and ATLAS, use CMOS sensors.
To my knowledge,
there are plans for more LNSD from NAOC (China) and IfA (Hawaii).
